Our aims

We hope that the 2B Business website will become a source of practical, relevant and useful knowledge for the South African entrepreneur.

We are extremely aware that South Africa lives with a legacy of low educational standards for the majority of its population. Also that so many of the people in our country and region live in extreme poverty.

There also seems to be a very real need for more practical information about doing business. While there are degree and diploma programmes on business management, I find that they tend to be quite theorectical and geared towards running large companies.

I started my Guerrilla Marketing certification because I found that my degree studies didn’t really help with my consulting in marketing for smaller businesses – it was my experience that counted.

Then there are the print newspapers for businesses – but they tend to concentrate on the JSE listed companies and corporate interests; entrepreneurial magazines – which are quite good but don’t really go into much detail; and a number of online magazines – which are once again reasonable, but have a tendency to either fizzle out or get side-tracked rather than continue provided much needed information.

The bottomline is that there is not very much practical support for smaller business owners in South Africa today. So, my aims with this website are to provide a place for small business owners and managers to get knowledge that will assist them in the day-to-day running, survival and growth of their businesses and dreams.

My husband, Jeremy, and I have a passion to see South Africa prospering and working for all of its people. With his unwavering support, I am very pleased to be able to do the work of this website which I hope will in even a small way contribute to making South Africa a better place to live, work, play and dream in.

My aims are to
