Our marketing strategy guidance services are ideal for the smaller business owner who wants a marketing strategy and marketing plan of action that are tailored to their budget – while still maintaining control rather than farming their complete marketing function out to a marketing or advertising agency at many tens of thousands of Rands a month.

What is marketing guidance?

It is a combination of marketing consulting and marketing coaching. Marketing consulting to give you concrete ideas, knowledge and the benefit of our general business experience. Coaching to draw out your own knowledge of your business and where you want to take it, as well as to hold you accountable to your marketing plan and encourage you to action.

What will be included in the session/s

In our starter/review session/s we will:
- get an overview of your company and what you wish to achieve;
- focus on laying out your marketing strategy (or flesh out your current strategy);
- look at your marketing materials;
- look at what marketing tools you can use within your budget;
- help you make the choice of who you wish to work with and what you would like to keep in-house.
- map out a plan of action for your marketing efforts.

Follow-up sessions are to assist you with staying on course with your marketing plan and strategy, and to allow for ongoing assistance with practical details, stages in your marketing plan implementation or with specific campaigns.

Our pricing

Ann charges R440 an hour.

Ongoing coaching packages are available for as little as R320/hour for 20 hours or more of guidance. Monthly packages are also available.

Why are our prices so low?

We offer extremely good rates as we wish to make our professional marketing strategy services available to companies & organisations of all sizes – including the startups and micro-businesses. We can do this for the following reasons:

1. We ask you to come to our premises. (This is also preferable as we keep a library of information that we use as examples during the marketing strategy session.)

2. We follow Guerrilla Marketing principles for our own marketing. We do NOT visit potential clients to market our marketing strategy services to them and we do NOT make individual presentations for business. We also invite potential clients to contact us and to speak to our current clients. (References are happily provided.) This means that we don’t have to build in a huge premium into our rates to cover our own marketing – you pay for the work being done, not for our marketing to you!

When should you come to us?

Unfortunately we do have companies (particularly micro-businesses) come to us when they are in deep trouble. While we certainly can assist you in these times, you will always get the best results if you focus on your marketing strategy as an overall and ongoing part of your business planning.

Thankfully, many of our clients have seen the results of getting assistance from us – for less than the price of a magazine advert – and have watched their businesses flourish.

Our marketing strategy guidance sessions are particularly of use to companies that are starting up and within the first three or so years of doing business. We also have clients who have been going for more than a decade and just needed a fresh outlook on their marketing strategy.

So how do you do this and how do you pay?

Firstly, you will need to book a starter session with us. (Contact us.) This will take about 3 hours at our premises. The sessions can be longer if you so prefer. We have found that the minimum starter session time to get to grips with the subject matter is about 2 hours.

We also charge for a half-hour to one hour of preparation. As part of this we will contact you to establish what preparation YOU will also need to do for the session and what materials it would benefit you to bring along to the session. (Please note that we require payment for a starter session before you leave at the end of the session. Unfortunately we don’t have credit card facilities.)

If, as a result of the session, you would like to use our marketing strategy services again, you are welcome to do so on an intermittent or regular basis – as suites you. Payment for further sessions will be as arranged between the parties. There is no obligation to any further marketing strategy services.
